FOURTH OF JULY 2005

A GOOD TIME HAD BY ALL

Yeah, there wasn't too much gaiety but there was good food and good music and good company and fine poetry all in the mood of the Beat Resurgence, and the hit of the day wasn't the giant bubble maker man who was good, no, the hit was the dip tank.

Simon and Zane were the dipmeisters. The tank was an old hot tub full of water. Enamal paints swirled on top. All right, who is first?

What? You want me to dip something? No? What? You want to dip me? Because I'm wearing all white? Nothing doing. We'll dip my bike.

Well, the bike turned out a little murky but the mailboxes Zane dipped were great and many were bought up right on the spot.

Lots of high school students and this year's crop of graduates and they got into the dipping, styling is where it's at.

Dennis and friend playing on the stage while Chuck and Anon chat on the grass.

Skypilot Greg wins a T shirt for having come the fartherest, from China, and Ken M. and Kit get a kick out of his Shanghai accent.

Here's Chuck and his nephew, Zane.

Four boys, wore out, ready to go home, see you next year, folks!
