REPLACE THE WATER TANK IN THE PUMPHOUSE

Old water tank sits in the pumphouse, the sucker leaks air so the pump goes on and off all the time, get rid of it.

Tank gone, the emty space awaits, like an I Ching saying, while out in the driveway the new tank is prepared.
The tree, valves and spigot and connectors.

Wheel the sucker in there.

Whaddaya know, fits right in there.

Next up, the hoist truck come to pull the pump pipe out of the ground in order to replace a defunct flapper valve.

Pipe lifted out, take out the flapper valve and put in a plug, lower the pipe into the ground and afix the top plate.

Old galvanized tank going bye bye, new steel tank in place and all hooked up, looks like something on a submarine.

The old forty sixty settings and the gauge to show them
and the blue handled spigot for draining the tank.

That job out of the way, we move on to the next one.

Dat ol debbil moon, fullup as kin be, shine down on me till clouds cover
him up and rain come drizzlin in, nodding to do but hunker down over
the keyboard, put off outside work for a while, get caught up and whooee
is there some caughting up to do.

A major three prong attack, took lots of planning and organizing, not as
big as D day but certainly E day, standing for electrical, for we replaced
the propane furnace with an electrical furnace, had to put in new breaker
boxes to handle the load and, in a bold move, brought the power underground
from the pole to the house, which also meant the power company had to replace
thetransformer on the pole, and all started and completed in one day, E day.

                                                                      The furnace and the ditch

The old electrical panel and the first EPUD truck arriving

THE DITCH

Here's Rick, the ditch man, on his John Deere with a backhoe on the back and a bucket on the front

Artsy fartsy shot of the digging and there she sits with the ditch dug out, ouch, all those rocks.

Well deserved beer after all that work.

THE CONDUIT

Ditch all dug, now to put the conduit in, the three inch pipe the electric line will run through

Here's Lectric Lynn, the electrican, assembling the conduit, one section at a time, glue it together

Sometimes takes four hands to jam those pipes together but when is all done, fill the ditch with the dirt

Beautifully done, spread some grass seed and turn on the sprinkler
