Tagger by Mike Tuma

As the subway flies by, a little girl cries because she has lost her dad
Tagger just waits, hood covering his eyes, losing the flare he once had
the girl cries harder and harder with no dad in sight
Tagger just waits with diminishing might
the girl keeps getting redder, she's about to burst
with Tagger staying docile she fears the worst
the subway stops the doors screech open
the girl runs out, into the den
its hopeless now the girl is lost
Tagger's mural waits, unfinished, covered in frost
why didn't he help, what was he thinking?
his glazed eyes stare, never blinking
Why didn't he help the girl that fled?
well, he can't because Tagger's dead.
