Here's some of the script I'm working on:

Dreaming

(There will be one person taking each line at a time, going down the line of the people on the microphones. People on instruments and congas will provide a lively rhythmic background with appropriate musical hoots and wollers.)

Do we dream of universal health care?
No, we dream of our football team being number one.

Do we dream of universal literacy?
No, we dream of having the Heisman trophy winner.

BABBS SAYS: Stick to your winter flannels
Till your winter flannels stick to you.

EVERYONE SINGS:

You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch onto the affirmative
Don't mess with mister inbetween.

Do you dream of ending world hunger?
Yes, we dream of the perfect eggnog souffle.

BABBS SAYS: They make worm's meat out of me
It is an ill cook who cannot lick his own fingers.

Do you dream of zero population growth?
Yes, we dream of super sex and two kids.

We go into Sixteen Tons with the NRPS joining in and then end with
This Land Is Your Land, the audience, the town, the state, the country
and the world joining in. They thumb their noses on the O'Reillyken Galaxy.

WOW HALL NRPS SHOW was superb. PranksterPilots in fine fettle and NRPS had the petal to the mettle. You should see their bus. Big as a battleship. Filled the parking lot. You could fit three or four cars inside. We had a briefing in the bus and decided the PranksterPilots would open the show. It was nine o'clock by then. Show was supposed to start at eight but only six people had showed up. We got started by nine-thirty and more were coming in. We rocked on the Dreaming number and the NRPS joined us onstage for a raucous Sixteen Tons followed by a moving with the crowd joining in version of This Land is Your Land. Hall was filling up fast. The NRPS took over, did three sets and didn't drive the bus outta there till after one in the morning. I'm throwing the videotape into the computer toady and burning the dvd so stand on your hands bye.

Not for the timid, raw stuff, straight off the camera into the DVD, down and dirty, get it out fast, projects are piling up behind me.

The Dreaming DVD shows the Prankster Skypilots doing their new original musical number, Dreaming, on the stage at the WOW Hall in Eugene, Oregon, leading off the New Riders of the Purple Sage concert. As the Prankster Skypilots begin singing and playing the Merle Travis song, "Sixteen Tons," The New Riders come on the stage and join in. Then the crowd joins in a raucous rendition of "This Land Is Your Land." The more I'm watching this DVD the better I like it. Signed by the author.
